Processing Fees:
The Institute has introduced a tiered payment structure, which enables you to choose the appropriate cost based on your desired processing time.

• Fast track your skills assessment for AUD$395.00 - Your assessment will be completed in half the advertised processing time. See below for processing times.

or

• Normal assessment for AUD$350.00 - Your assessment will be completed within the advertised processing time.

The processing fee can be paid by:

• Cheque or international bank draft (payable to The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia). The cheque must be payable on an Australian bank in Australian dollars
• AMEX, VISA or Mastercard (please complete the relevant section of the application form)
• Australia Post money orders
• Cash and Eftpos in person at an Institute office.

Please note: payments in currencies other than Australian dollars and bank transfers are not accepted. If received, your application will be returned.

Processing Times:

The current processing times for all qualification assessments and reviews (Migration and the Chartered Accountants Program) are approximately:

• 4 - 6 weeks (Overseas qualifications)
• 1 - 2 weeks (Australian qualifications)
• 1 - 2 weeks (Members of Fully and Partially recognised Overseas Accounting Bodies)

Please allow for postage times. NB send your documents directly to the Sydney office to avoid additional delays.

This processing time is calculated from the date the application is received, provided all required documents have been submitted. If you are required to provide further documentation the processing time will commence once these documents have been received.

Withdrawal Fee:

Before assessment commences, applications can be withdrawn at any stage.

An administration fee of AUD$50.00 will be charged in all cases. However, if any preliminary work has commenced or the formal assessment has been completed, a refund will not be issued.

Referral Fee:

Should your qualification(s) fall outside the guidelines published by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (AEI-NOOSR), the Institute may be unable to process your assessment.

If this is the case, an AEI-NOOSR referral letter will be issued. Your documents will also be returned, together with a refund less our administration fee of AUD$50.00.

Replacement Fee:

If at any stage you require another original letter, a replacement fee of AUD$50.00 will apply. To apply for a replacement of your skills assessment letter, please download the Replacement form.

Skills Assessment Appeal/Review Fee:

If you choose to appeal your skills assessment, a AUD$100.00 fee will apply.

Migration Agent Fee

This express service is $495 and exclusive to migration agents only. It will comprise of 5 working days turn around time from the date the skills assessment is received at the Institute office. This excludes postage times.
