What is the Unit Knowledge Quiz (UKQ)?

Q: What is the Unit Knowledge Quiz (UKQ)? 
 
A: The Unit Knowledge Quiz is a 25-30 minute multiple-choice online quiz addressing the fundamental knowledge concepts underpinning unit learning outcomes. You are required to undertake the quiz individually and not discuss your responses.

Q: How many UKQs do I complete? 
 
A: You complete four UKQs throughout the module, with each quiz contributing 2.5% to your overall results (with the four UKQs comprising 10% of your overall mark).

Q: How do I access the UKQ? 
 
A: You access the UKQ via myCA. Each UKQ is open for completion for a nine-day period and must be completed no later than 11:59pm on the final day. Details of when each quiz is open are provided on myCA.

Q: How many attempts do I have to complete the UKQ? 
 
A: You only have one attempt to complete the UKQ, which is available for a specified time.

Q: Do I get feedback on my results? 
 
A: You will be advised whether your selected answer is correct or not upon completing the quiz. If the answer you submit is incorrect, you should then review the material in the CLP and consult other resources (e.g. textbook) on the topic. No additional feedback will be provided on the UKQ.

Q: Are UKQ answers discussed in the focus session? 
 
A: No – the UKQ and answers won’t be discussed in the focus session because we believe this is not the best approach in preparing you for the exam.

Q: I did not complete my UKQ. Does this mean that I will fail the module? 
 
A: Each UKQ counts for 2.5% of your overall module so if you do not complete a UKQ you may not fail the module however this will affect your non-exam component mark.
