As announced last year, the exam is designed to assess a candidate's understanding of the knowledge areas required to enrol in the Program. These areas are: financial accounting, management accounting, finance, taxation, audit and corporations law.

The exam is targeted at non-accounting graduates currently employed by an Institute approved employer who have had some exposure to the above knowledge areas through on the job or external training. The Institute is not providing any preparatory training for the exam and will require a letter of employer support to accompany an individual's application to sit the exam.
