The following concessional subscription fees are effective from July 1, 2008. Please note members may not apply for concessional fees retroactively.

Concessional subscription rates are available to members in Australia or Overseas who meet specific requirements as indicated in the Institute By-Laws 53 & 54 and Regulation R5.

To be granted a concessional rate a member must first apply to the Institute in writing and will be asked to provide documentation to support the request.

Members who are granted a reduction in the annual subscription fee retain their current class of membership and are entitled to all the privileges of membership.

The Institute annually contacts members on concessional subscription rates to confirm whether their circumstances have remained the same as the previous financial year or changed.

Please note concessional rates are based on your earnings within a financial year and not a calendar year.

Each year members who have been granted a concessional subscription rate are asked to confirm to the Institute, in writing, that the circumstances supporting their request for a concessional fee rate remain unchanged. If during the year the circumstances under which the concessional rate was sought and approved change, resulting in either the full subscription rate or alternatively a different subscription rate being more appropriate, the member should contact the Institute to discuss their changed situation. As members’ subscriptions are invoiced annually it is most likely that any change to the subscription rate will not take effect until the following financial year.
