The 2008-2010 Chartered Accountants Program timetable (as at 04 April 2008) is available to allow candidates to plan their program progression.

Important note: Technical module re-pairing from Term 2 2009
In response to industry feedback, the pairing of technical modules is changing from Term 2, 2009, to allow TAX to be offered with AAA and MAA to be offered with FIN.
This re-pairing does mean that candidates need to be careful in their selection of modules to avoid any unwanted study gap periods.

View the study pathways of the timetable. It shows the recommended pathways for candidates commencing the program.

The GradDipCA transition schedule is also provided to assist candidates who commenced with the 2000 version of the Program, transition to the 2007 version.

Details of weekend focus sessions are available to candidates to assist with their preferred focus session selection.

In reviewing the timetable please note the core principles on which the dates and format is based:

  • Three terms a year
  • Two technical modules offered every term
  • Three modules can be completed in 12 months
  • Candidates can defer study for one term and be able to study that module within six months
While not part of the formal principles, further benefits of these principles include:
  • Candidates, who chose to study in a busy period have the option of selecting a module, which might be easier for them
  • There is a clear break across the summer holiday period, this was particularly important given the intensity of the 3-term year.
